KSM Promotes Seven Individuals to Partnership

Katz, Sapper & Miller is pleased to announce the promotion of seven individuals as they join the KSM partnership on Jan. 1, 2023. At a time of vast change both in the workplace and within our industry, our newest partners have embraced innovation and different ways of working to empower our people, inspire collaboration among colleagues, and position our culture to thrive.

George Batalis is the leader of KSM’s healthcare consulting services in the Healthcare Resources Group. George oversees a team of strategic healthcare consultants who help healthcare organizations across the country improve profitability by increasing revenue streams and optimizing operations. In addition to leading the practice, he provides expertise in healthcare strategic planning, financial and operational analysis, creating and executing healthcare alignment and partnership models, mergers and acquisitions diligence and strategy, payer/provider value-based and risk sharing arrangements, and physician compensation models. George received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Brett Breedlove is a member of KSM’s Audit & Assurance Services Group. Brett helps clients minimize risk, ensure accurate and complete financial reporting, and maintain compliance with regulatory institutions. He works closely with buy here – pay here dealers and other specialty finance companies to analyze their static pool and credit loss statistics, implement best practices in collections, and assess their profitability measures. He also has extensive experience with registered investment advisors, asset managers, investment companies, and family offices. Brett graduated cum laude from Ball State University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in accounting and finance.
Amy Lehrman is the leader of KSM’s Fort Wayne office. Amy oversees the day-to-day efforts for the office and works closely with KSM leadership to help realize the firm’s vision: to be the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firm for closely held, family-owned businesses in northeast Indiana. With more than a decade of experience in public accounting, Amy serves as a trusted advisor to her clients, developing tailored tax planning solutions to help them minimize tax liability and increase efficiencies. Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, with a minor in non-profit management, from Manchester College.
Zee Malik is a member of KSM’s Audit & Assurance Services Group. Zee advises clients to help them solve their operational challenges and provides guidance on how to alleviate business concerns, specifically in areas of accounting, reporting, compliance, and internal control matters. He has particular expertise in the transportation and construction industries and serves private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Zee graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting, finance, and business management from Franklin College and received a Master of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Jennifer Miller co-leads KSM’s Transaction Advisory Services Group. Performing buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, Jennifer helps private equity and corporate clients identify potential deal valuation risks and inform net working capital negotiations. With more than 15 years of experience in public accounting, corporate development, and strategic finance, she provides a balanced and comprehensive perspective to due diligence. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Zach Sauder is the leader of KSM’s Outsourced Finance & Accounting Services Group. Zach oversees a team of finance and accounting specialists that provides clients with short- and long-term solutions in many different ways – from day-to-day accounting functions to CFO advisory services. Prior to joining the firm, Zach served as chief financial officer for a variety of privately held manufacturing companies. His unique blend of experiences provides clients with a balanced approach to improve their bottom line. Zach received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Michael Wipper co-leads KSM’s Transaction Advisory Services Group. Michael helps middle-market private equity firms, strategic buyers, venture capital firms, and their portfolio companies understand the quality of earnings of target companies and remove ambiguity from financial reporting. He also works closely with clients to smooth out accounting and financial issues after the deal closes. With more than 13 years of experience in public accounting, including eight years at Big Four firms, Michael’s approach to due diligence is both thorough and collaborative. Michael graduated with distinction from Providence College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
