Kevin M. Sullivan, CPA, JD



Kevin Sullivan is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Tax Services Group. He has been in public accounting for 30 years and has been with the firm since 2000. Kevin's responsibilities include providing income tax and estate planning advice to clients, as well as handling tax controversies.

In charge of the firm’s insurance tax practice, Kevin has substantial experience in structuring businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and tax accounting methods. He has worked extensively with manufacturers, distributors, and automobile dealerships.

Additionally, Kevin is partner-in-charge of the firm’s Research Tax Credit Group, where he provides analysis of qualifying research activities and conducts technical review of research tax credit projects for qualification of federal and state research tax credits.


Kevin received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Valparaiso University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. During his studies, Kevin was the recipient of the Hall, Render, Killian, Heath and Lyman Award for excellence in the area of state and local taxation.


Kevin is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Indiana CPA Society, the American Bar Association, and the Indiana Bar Association. He is a member of the board of trustees of La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana and former treasurer of the board of directors of The Julian Center.
