Schenkel Named to Fort Wayne Forty Under 40 Class of 2023
FORT WAYNE – Sarah Schenkel has been named to the Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2023. The program honors 40 individuals 39 years of age and younger who have made a difference in northeast Indiana both on the job and in the community. These young professionals were chosen by a panel of distinguished judges.
Schenkel, a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Fort Wayne office and member of the firm’s Audit & Assurance Services Group, helps clients navigate the ever-changing environment of financial reporting and accounting standards, helping to ensure they are up to date on best practices and operational controls in order to make profitable business decisions. She serves as a trusted advisor to her clients while overseeing extensive audits and other engagements for businesses in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, services, and technology.
Beyond her professional expertise, she has a deep and genuine passion for service and a commitment to strengthening her community. Schenkel currently serves as board treasurer and finance committee member for Erin’s House for Grieving Children, a nonprofit organization providing support for children, teens, and their families who have experienced the death of a loved one. She also serves on the audit committee for the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life in and around Fort Wayne. In 2022, Sarah received KSM’s prestigious Community Service Excellence Vision Award, which recognizes a KSM employee who is a pillar and leader in the community.
Schenkel will be recognized along with the other winners at an awards program in Fort Wayne on March 23.
