Katie Hammer Joins KSM as Community Engagement Manager

INDIANAPOLIS – Katz, Sapper & Miller, a leading advisory, tax, and audit firm, is pleased to announce that Katie Hammer has joined the firm as its community engagement manager.

With more than 15 years of experience supporting nonprofits in central Indiana, Hammer will be instrumental in furthering KSM’s community efforts in alignment with its Community pillar, both at a firm level and an individual employee level.

We look forward to working with Katie to optimize our community efforts as the firm grows.

In the newly created role of community engagement manager, Hammer will work closely with KSM’s community engagement committee to plan, execute, and communicate annual philanthropic strategies and initiatives. She will also lead KSM’s volunteer community service projects, assist employees with finding opportunities to volunteer or engage in board or committee service, and strategize to maximize the firm’s community financial commitments and diversity of organizations supported.

Prior to joining KSM, Hammer served as the strategic and planned giving officer for Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. Her experience also includes serving as a major gifts officer for St. Mary’s Child Center and as leadership gifts officer for The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

“Making connections to grow communities is one of my deepest passions, and I’m excited to join KSM and help carry out its mission of inspiring great people to do great things by encouraging and empowering our people to get involved in their communities,” said Hammer.

Hammer graduated from Ball State University’s Miller College of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in entrepreneurship and a Master of Business Administration degree in corporate entrepreneurship.
