Barliant joined KSM in 2025 with KSM’s acquisition of MichaelSilver, which brought together two organizations with a shared commitment to exceptional client service, employee development, and long-term growth. As managing partner of KSM’s Chicago office, Barliant leads an 80-person team, oversees day-to-day operations, and drives the firm’s strategic growth across the Chicagoland market.

With nearly four decades of experience in the accounting profession, Barliant helps closely held and family-owned businesses strengthen operations, improve internal controls, and achieve their long-term business objectives. She also played a pivotal role in leading the successful integration of MichaelSilver with KSM, helping guide the strategic alignment and cultural integration of the two firms.
Before joining KSM, Barliant served as co-managing partner of MichaelSilver. Throughout her career, she has been committed to mentoring others and advancing the accounting profession. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
