Highlights from the Ohio Trucking Association and Ohio Association of Movers 2012 Annual Convention

Recently Mark Flinchum and Chris Felger, of Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Transportation Services Group, attended the Ohio Trucking Association (OTA) and Ohio Association of Movers (OAM) annual convention in Cincinnati.

Highlights from the conference include:

  • Rebecca Brewster, president of the American Transportation Research Institute, presented the latest in trucking research
  • Anne Ferro, administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, discussed current and proposed safety regulations
  • Jeff Davis, principal of Fleet Safety Services, LLC, discussed CSA safety standards
  • Dan England, chairman of the American Trucking Associations, presented his Washington report
  • James Harger, chief marketing officer of Clean Energy, and Charles Musgrove, vice president of operations for Dillon Transport, presented on natural gas as tomorrow’s truck fuel
  • Scott Michael, vice president of military moves and government relations with the American Moving & Storage Association, discussed the do’s and don’ts of military moves
  • Terrance and Leon Resnick, both of Resnick Associates, discussed enhancing, protecting and transitioning company wealth
  • The OTA and OAM raised over $6,500 to benefit ProKids, a Cincinnati organization that is involved in the advocacy of abused and neglected children in the foster care system.
