Flinchum to Speak at IMTA’s 2017 Spring Transportation Summit

Posted 4:00 AM by

Mark Flinchum, a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s ESOP and Transportation Services Groups, will lead a discussion on employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) basics and succession planning tools at Indiana Motor Truck Association’s (IMTA’s) 2017 Spring Transportation Summit.

Taking place April 24-25 at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station in Indianapolis, Flinchum’s discussion will review ESOP fundamentals and what factors to consider when determining if your company is a good candidate. A growing number of trucking company owners are facing succession planning and transition issues and this presentation will explain how an ESOP works while reviewing the advantages and disadvantages of an ESOP structure.

IMTA’s annual Spring Summit offers industry professionals the ability to network with colleagues and hear professionals discuss hot topics impacting the trucking industry. In addition to this year’s presentations from the IMTA, attendees will benefit from relevant information that will help improve their organization’s bottom line through efficiency, cost savings and improved work environment.

Conference topics will include:

  • Indiana legislative update
  • Updates on trucking regulations
  • The state of the industry in Indiana
  • Retention
  • Indiana government agencies update
