INDIANAPOLIS – Ashley Christie, a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Real Estate Services Group, has been named a recipient of Indiana University Kelley School of Business’s Accounting Alumni Four Under Forty award.

This award recognizes younger IU Kelley School of Business accounting alumni who demonstrate a high level of professional excellence early in their careers and have the potential to make a lasting impact in their professional endeavors on an ongoing basis.

At KSM, Christie helps clients identify innovative solutions to maximize tax savings opportunities and thoughtfully plan for the future. She also has extensive experience assisting the firm’s real estate clients with tax compliance, financial statement analysis, cash flow, and general business and accounting consulting. Outside of her client work, Christie is an engaged leader within the firm. She developed and launched KSM’s Tax Academy in 2018 after recognizing the need for a more structured and accelerated approach to deepen the tax knowledge and expertise of early-career KSMers. She also contributes to KSM’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts as an active member of the firm’s DEI group, INSPIRE.

“Ashley is a trailblazer not only in accounting but also within the community. She is a dedicated leader whose commitment to her colleagues, clients, and the world around us continually inspires excellence in others. We are so proud of Ashley and everything she does to exemplify our culture,” said Tim Cook, CEO & president of KSM.

In addition to her professional achievements, Christie is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS), and IndyCREW. She currently serves as a board member and treasurer for Dress for Success Indianapolis, the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, and Girls on the Run Central Indiana. Additionally, Christie is involved with the American Cancer Society, serving on the executive committee for the Indy Golf Classic. She also regularly volunteers with Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana.

Christie was named a recipient of INCPAS’ Emerging Leader Award in 2019, which recognizes up-and-coming leaders within the accounting profession. She was also a finalist for Junior Achievement of Central Indiana’s Best and Brightest award in 2018 and 2020.

With both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA in taxation from Kelley, Christie regularly participates in KSM’s recruiting efforts at the school.
