Mike North is the partner-in-charge of Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Transaction Advisory Services Group. Through his due diligence and transaction advisory services, Mike helps private equity firms and strategic investors ensure they are making wise investments by identifying potential risks and opportunities during their acquisitions. He also works with investment banks and operating companies to ensure they are strategically positioned to maximize value as they go to market for sale.
Mike is a member of KSM’s executive committee, a five-person leadership team that sets and oversees the firm’s strategic direction. He is also a member of the firm’s Audit & Assurance Services Group, where he consults with clients in the areas of M&A, financial reporting, auditing, compliance, and internal control matters, helping them make strategic business decisions that will improve their bottom line and avoid risk. Additionally, he serves in KSM’s Buy Here – Pay Here and Dealership Services Groups and also has considerable experience in the equipment leasing industry.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Indiana University. He has also earned the Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) designation.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society as well as the Association for Corporate Growth (Indiana Chapter) and the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors. He is a frequent presenter and author with regard to tax and accounting issues related to the specialty finance industry.
Mike serves as a board member and treasurer for United Schools of Indianapolis and The Villages, which provides foster parent and adoptive services for children throughout Indiana. He previously served as a board member for the United Way of Central Indiana.
Mike was selected as a recipient of the 2017 Emerging Leaders Award by The M&A Advisor.
