Mike Hawkins

Mike Hawkins is a director in KSM’s Cincinnati office and a member of the firm’s Business Advisory Group. Mike specializes in providing strategic tax planning and compliance services to business clients across a wide range of industries – including manufacturing, distribution, retail, and services – to help them minimize tax liability and maximize savings. He has significant experience assisting with mergers and acquisitions on both the buy and sell sides and is well versed in the ever-changing area of state and local tax compliance. Mike also has extensive experience working with high-net-worth individuals and on trust taxation matters.

Having helped operate his family’s farm until 1998, Mike has a unique understanding of the challenges faced by closely held businesses. He believes that being sensitive to the client’s situation and specific needs is vital in public accounting.

Prior to joining KSM, Mike spent 26 years at Cassady Schiller, one of Cincinnati’s largest accounting firms, where he most recently served as a tax principal.
