Lyssa Kemper is a partner in KSM’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Outsourced Finance & Accounting Services Group. Lyssa has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting industry, including more than a decade in public accounting. She combines strategic insight with hands-on expertise to deliver scalable, technology-driven, and value-focused solutions that enhance efficiency and provide clients with actionable insights to achieve their goals. Lyssa serves clients across a variety of industries, including retail, technology, real estate, and manufacturing.
Prior to joining KSM, Lyssa served as a partner in the client accounting/advisory services practice at MichaelSilver, a longstanding, independent Chicagoland advisory, tax, and assurance firm. Her background also includes firsthand entrepreneurial experience from building and leading her own virtual accounting practice, where she focused on leveraging cloud technology, sustainability reporting, and proactive advisory services to help small and mid-sized businesses strengthen financial performance and improve operational efficiency.
Lyssa received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Lyssa is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs. Committed to supporting the next generation of accountants, she mentors students through the Great Alaskan Accounting People (GAAP) organization at her alma mater, the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
