Partner, CPA

Lydia Ritze is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Cincinnati office and a member of the firm’s Audit & Assurance Services Group. While Lydia provides consulting services for companies of all sizes and in various industries, her primary focus is providing assurance services for privately held companies and employee benefit plans.

Her experience includes assisting her clients with the accounting and financial reporting for the following complex transactions: initial public offerings; private placement bond offerings; adoption of new accounting pronouncements, including revenue recognition and leases; significant acquisitions in the U.S. and various foreign locations; debt modifications; restructuring activities; and goodwill impairments. She has experience in an array of industries, including manufacturing, retail, technology, real estate, construction, professional services, and not-for-profit.

Prior to joining KSM, Lydia served as an assurance partner at Cassady Schiller, one of Cincinnati’s largest accounting firms. Lydia also spent more than 11 years at Grant Thornton where she focused on managing the financial statement and ICFR audits and reviews of public companies, private equity-owned companies, family-owned companies, not-for-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans.

People generally operate with positive intentions. It’s easy to make assumptions about someone’s comments or behavior, but if you don’t talk to them and really listen, misunderstandings can occur. I try to always assume positive intent.
