Heather Judy is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s State & Local Tax Group. Heather helps find creative and collaborative solutions for clients, with special expertise in the areas of property tax, multistate sales and income taxes, business incentives, and other state taxes. She also assists clients with property tax compliance, appeals, audit defense, property tax abatement, and various multistate incentive programs.
Heather has deep relationships with state and local government officials across the country, as well as businesses from a broad range of industries. She puts those relationships to work by serving as a liaison on the firm’s government consulting projects, providing solutions based on the needs and requirements of various governmental agencies and departments.
Prior to joining the firm, Heather worked at a Big Four firm for six years. While there, her experience included audit and assurance, general tax compliance, and property tax compliance.
Heather received Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and computer information systems from Indiana University. She also has a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Virginia. Heather is a Level III Appraiser and has received her Indiana Tax Representative certification.
Heather is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. She serves as board secretary for Christian Youth Theater of Indianapolis and board treasurer for the Carmel Middle School FAM Club.
