FORT WAYNE – Amy Lehrman, managing director of Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Fort Wayne office, has been named to the Influential Women of Northeast Indiana’s Class of 2022. Presented by KPC Media Group, the awards program celebrates women who have overcome barriers, defied social norms, and blazed trails for future generations.

Amy was selected for her deep community involvement and many professional accomplishments, both of which have ingrained her as a leader in the Fort Wayne community. As managing director of KSM’s Fort Wayne office, she plays a key role in one of the region’s largest and fastest-growing tax and advisory firms. Prior to joining KSM, Amy was a member of Crowe’s (formerly Crowe Horwath LLP) Fort Wayne-based federal tax team, working her way up to senior manager.

Outside of KSM, Amy serves a number of nonprofit and charitable organizations. Because of her extensive professional experience across several companies and industries in northeast Indiana, she has been able to build relationships with leaders of the region’s nonprofit community. This has allowed her to combine her professional success and career development with a personal commitment to giving back.

Amy is a current member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. She serves as a board member and executive committee member of Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana (JANI). She also co-chairs JANI’s Purse-ology event, the sponsorships of which allow the organization to provide educational programming to K-12 students in the community. Amy previously served on the board of directors and finance committee for Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana and is a former committee member for The Lutheran Foundation’s Regional Mental Health Coalition. She also regularly coordinates and hosts women’s networking events for female business leaders in the Fort Wayne community.

“Amy’s community engagement, leadership, and generosity are an inspiration to many,” said Tim Cook, CEO & president of KSM. “Whether she’s developing leadership opportunities for women or collaborating with business and community leaders to navigate talent hiring challenges, her impact is felt in Fort Wayne and beyond.”

Amy was also recipient of a 2019 Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Forty Under 40 award, which recognizes rising stars in northeast Indiana’s business community. Earlier this year, KSM announced Lehrman’s promotion to partnership, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
