Audit and Assurance
Want maximum exposure to the world of business? KSM’s Audit & Assurance Services Group could be the right place for you. You’ll spend lots of time interacting directly with our clients and working with them on-site at their businesses. You’ll become familiar with their management approach, their financial information system, and the key factors to their success. Your fellow audit team members will help you with your questions and give you constructive feedback on your performance. Everybody wants you to succeed!
KSM’s Tax Services Group is the perfect place for you if you’re interested in taxation as your primary career focus. You’ll work with and learn from some of the region’s top tax professionals – preparing returns, using emerging technologies, and finding innovative solutions to our clients’ most challenging tax problems.
If your goal is to become a business consultant, you might consider joining one of our Business Advisory Groups. As a consultant, you’ll become the trusted advisor our clients turn to first when they have business and tax challenges or need an opinion on their plans for growth. You’ll build your technical expertise by completing many types and levels of tax returns across multiple industries. As your career with KSM advances, you’ll have the opportunity to specialize in a particular industry, which will enhance your reputation as a trusted consultant.

What do we look for in our interns? Here’s a helpful checklist.
- Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting
- Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in accounting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A commitment to passing the CPA exam and obtaining 150 credit hours
- Ability to work full-time (plus overtime) from mid-January through April 15
