Karen Hill is director of talent acquisition and staffing with Katz, Sapper & Miller. In her role, Karen leads all campus and experienced hire efforts. Her responsibilities include understanding firm needs and market dynamics; setting strategies; developing key relationships with faculty, staff, and students; and screening for the best and brightest applicants. Karen is recognized as a collaborative leader who is adept at engaging many across the firm in our recruiting and hiring processes. She oversees the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion recruiting committee.
Karen received a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree from Indiana University.
Karen is a member of the Human Resource Association of Central Indiana, the American Institute of CPAs, the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS), and Toastmasters International. She serves on several committees and boards, including Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business Career Services Advisory Board, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis’ Kelley School of Business Career Services Advisory Board, and Purdue University Career Services Advisory Board. Karen also serves as an advisory board member for the SOAR Program (Success, Opportunity, Acumen, and Readiness) through Ball State University’s Miller College of Business. Karen is actively involved with Girls, Inc. of Greater Indianapolis and the Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders as well as the Komen Tissue Bank, where she serves as a volunteer.
Karen received INCPAS’ 2023 Talent Pipeline Award, which honors an individual or organization that is building, diversifying, and/or retaining talent in the accounting profession.
