Hammond Named to Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation 2020-21 Fellows Class

INDIANAPOLIS – Sarah Hammond has been named a fellow for the Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation (MDLF) class of 2020-21. Launched in 2016, the program aims to recruit and develop up-and-coming leaders who want to drive change in Indiana. Fellows are chosen by the MDLF board based on personal and professional achievements as well as leadership potential. Hammond is one of 23 outstanding Hoosiers who were selected from a record number of applicants this year.

Hammond is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Business Advisory Group and has been with the firm since 2008. Specializing in federal and multistate tax compliance and consulting, she looks for ways to help her clients improve their businesses. Within the community, Hammond currently serves on the board of Saint Joseph’s Institute for the Deaf – Indianapolis, which helps children with hearing loss develop spoken language and literacy skills.

As part of the MDLF fellows program, Hammond will spend the next 12 months learning about Indiana’s strengths and opportunities followed by a second year focused on implementing new initiatives that will help Indiana become a better place to work and live. Areas of focus for the fellowship program include the economy, education, health, and civic engagement.
