Tyler Macik is a senior manager in KSM’s State & Local Tax Group. Tyler advises clients on a range of multistate tax matters, helping them understand and manage their state tax obligations while navigating ever-evolving laws and regulations. He works with businesses operating across multiple state and local jurisdictions to analyze tax consequences, identify opportunities to reduce liabilities, and resolve complex tax issues and controversies.
Prior to joining KSM, Tyler spent nearly 10 years at a Big Four accounting firm, where he worked within the firm’s national tax department and served on the firm’s dedicated Indiana and Michigan income tax desks. His background includes advising clients on state tax compliance and consulting matters, as well as helping businesses address multistate tax challenges as they expand operations and adapt to changing regulatory environments.
Tyler received a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University.
Tyler is a member in good standing of the Indiana State Bar Association, where he serves as vice chair of the Taxation Section Council. He is also a member of the American Bar Association. Outside of work, he coaches his children’s lacrosse teams.
