Mike Welch is a vice president with KSM Corporate Finance, formerly Charter Capital Partners. Mike manages and executes mergers and acquisitions (M&A) engagements, advising family-owned and middle-market businesses through strategic decisions and complex transactions. He focuses primarily on companies in the industrial services, transportation and logistics, and manufacturing sectors, with experience advising businesses ranging from $10 million to $250 million in enterprise value. Drawing on his operational and transaction experience, Mike provides practical, tailored guidance to help business owners evaluate strategic opportunities, navigate complex transactions, and achieve their long-term objectives.
Mike brings both operating and acquisition experience to M&A advisory. Prior to joining KSM, Mike served as an executive at Stronghouse Brands, a private equity-backed roofing and exterior services company, where he led acquisitions alongside private equity sponsors and lenders. He previously managed a $60 million P&L at DaVita Kidney Care, giving him firsthand experience navigating the challenges and opportunities business owners and operators face.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Calvin University. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
