Mike Clark is co-managing partner of Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Cincinnati office. Mike leads the day-to-day efforts for the office and works closely with KSM leadership to help enhance the firm’s presence in the Cincinnati tri-state area and make it a top choice for talent.
Prior to joining KSM, Mike served as the managing partner of Cassady Schiller, one of Cincinnati’s largest accounting firms, where he provided executive oversight and led the firm’s professionals to deliver financial confidence to clients.
Mike has more than three decades of experience in public accounting. He began his career with Ernst & Young in 1988. He joined Cassady Schiller as a tax manager in 1994, primarily serving high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs. Mike expanded his knowledge in these areas to include financial planning and became a licensed investment advisor in 1999.
I often use this quote I learned in my youth as a golf caddie. “The rules for caddying are the ‘ups’ – Show up, keep up, shut up.” I think this applies to everyday work life, too. Show up on time and be present, keep up with the fast pace, and listen more than you speak.
Mike graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He has earned the Personal Finance Specialist designation from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), which is awarded to CPAs who have attained specific experience, education, and exam requirements that set them apart from other CPAs and financial planners. He is also a licensed investment advisor.
Mike is a member of the AICPA. He serves as a director for the Western Golf Association and the Evans Scholars Foundation and is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation financial advisory council. Mike previously served as a board member for Legatus International and McNicholas High School.
Mike was named by Cincinnati Magazine as one of the best wealth managers in the city as judged by client satisfaction ratings for 2009-2023.
