Mike Brown is a partner and managing director with Charter Capital Partners, a KSM company, where he leads the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team. Mike advises business owners, capital providers, and executive teams on a variety of M&A and complex financing transactions, helping them navigate the most critical financial decisions of their careers. He brings deep investment banking experience to each engagement and has advised on transactions totaling more than $3 billion in aggregate enterprise value. Mike is known for executing complex transactions under tight deadlines, delivering strategic solutions that align with each client’s long-term goals.
Mike has led transactions for both publicly and privately held companies with enterprise values ranging from $25 million to $500 million. His experience spans a broad range of industries, including metals manufacturing, homebuilding, business services, energy supply, and commercial banking.
Prior to joining Charter Capital Partners, Mike worked at a bulge-bracket investment bank in Chicago for 10 years, where he focused on advising large, privately held businesses with annual revenues exceeding $300 million.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. He also graduated with honors from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago with a Master of Business Administration degree. He holds FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 82 securities registrations.
