Karen Lewis is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Business Advisory Group. Karen has extensive experience with tax compliance, income tax accounting, tax consulting, and other tax planning matters for a variety of entity types and industries. She helps ensure her clients are fully equipped to make advantageous financial decisions. Her primary areas of focus are C corporation taxation and income tax provision. She is a member of the firm’s Technology Industry Services Group, which is one of KSM’s fastest growing practice groups.
Prior to joining KSM, Karen spent the first five years of her career at local accounting firms and five years at a Big Four firm.
Karen received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and a minor in economics from the University of Northern Colorado.
Karen is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Beta Alpha Psi Alumni & Member Network.
In 2022, Karen was presented with KSM’s Scott Read Ingenuity Award in honor of her dedication to keeping the firm’s people fully connected as the leader of KSM’s remote employee resource group. She is also a recipient of KSM’s 2021 Inspiring People Award, which recognized both her efforts to help KSM’s remote workers across the United States connect and thrive in their roles and her commitment to KSM’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative.
