Jon Kramer is a partner in KSM’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate Services Group. With more than four decades of experience in public accounting, Jon specializes in serving the tax needs of real estate clients, high-net-worth individuals, and small businesses. He helps clients identify strategies to maximize tax savings and thoughtfully plan for the future.
Prior to joining KSM, Jon served as a partner at Shanholt Glassman Klein Kramer & Co. (SGKK), one of New York’s premier firms serving the real estate community. His extensive career began in 1976 with Peat Marwick and Mitchell (now KPMG), where he worked in the international tax department. Jon later founded Kramer Regen Benz & Zitolo, which he successfully merged into SGKK in 1999.
What has animated my career and motivated me is the desire to “do right” with every client for whom I am responsible. Serve them “to death” by going beyond expectations, and anticipate their questions, needs, and concerns by embracing them holistically.
Jon received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baruch College.
Jon is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs, where he has served on the New York State and local tax committees.
