Jason Miller is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Audit & Assurance Services Group and a leader in the firm’s Transportation Services Group. He is dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial and strategic goals through open and honest dialogue, well-planned initiatives, and creative problem solving. Jason applies his expertise and deep understanding of operational best practices in the transportation industry to help carriers increase profitability, remain compliant with regulations, and carefully examine potential acquisitions or other transactions. He is a well-respected thought leader and presents at various state trucking association and industry events.
As the partner-in-charge of the firm’s growing SOC Services Group, Jason also oversees a diverse portfolio of system and organization controls (SOC) engagements within various industries to help clients maintain compliance and ensure their internal networks are secure.
Jason’s experience in many different industries provides him with the knowledge and connections needed to advise clients on matters such as debt restructuring, cash flow projections and general business planning. He also advises clients on a wide variety of accounting, reporting, compliance, and internal control matters.
Jason received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University. Additionally, he has completed various SOC-related courses through the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), including SOC School.
Jason is a member of the AICPA, the Indiana CPA Society, and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. He is also a member of various national and state trucking associations, including the American Trucking Associations (ATA) and the Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee, and Illinois trucking associations. Jason serves as a board member for the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and is an alumni member of the Future Leaders of Indiana Council. He is also an active member of his community and frequently volunteers with Westfield Youth Sports Inc.
Jason was a finalist for Junior Achievement of Central Indiana’s Best and Brightest Award in 2015 and 2016.
