James Pillischafske is a senior manager in KSM’s Real Estate Services Group and serves as lead engineer with the firm’s cost segregation practice. A civil engineer by training, James applies his knowledge of construction methods, practices, and estimating techniques to help KSM clients reduce income taxes by identifying components of real estate eligible for accelerated tax depreciation.
Prior to joining the firm, James worked for a large construction manager and general contractor that focuses on complex commercial building projects.
James graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He is a licensed professional engineer.
James serves on the advisory board for Best Buddies in Indiana, an organization committed to creating opportunities for people with intellectual and development disabilities. He is also an active volunteer at Traders Point Christian Church in Fishers, Indiana. Previously, James served as a mentor through Arsenal Technical High School’s ACE Mentor Program, which inspires students to pursue careers in design and construction.
