Dan Sailer is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Valuation Services Group. He provides business valuations for estates and gifts, succession planning, transaction advisory, employee stock ownership plans, dispute resolution, and litigation support. Dan also provides consulting and financial modeling services to a variety of businesses.
Prior to joining the firm, Dan provided corporate financial advisory services to owners and management teams of companies in distressed situations across several industries, specializing in workouts, turnarounds, and restructurings. He began his career in public accounting and later served as controller of a sixth-generation retail automotive group.
Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Indiana University. He has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential, issued by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation issued by CFA Institute.
Dan is a member of the AICPA, the Indiana CPA Society, and CFA Institute. He serves on the board of the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis, Inc. and is a past president of CFA Society Indianapolis. Dan also serves on the finance committee of New Hope of Indiana and on the investment committee of the Benefaction Fund at Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
