Chris Henry

Chris Henry is president of KSM Transport Advisors, LLC (KSMTA) and KSMTA Canada, developers of FreightMath, the trucking industry’s most precise activity-based costing and network profitability model. With nearly 30 years of experience serving the trucking industry, Chris has dedicated his career to helping carriers understand their true costs, improve profitability, and compete with greater confidence.

Under Chris’s leadership, KSMTA created FreightMath, a transformative platform that gives carriers a clearer view of customer, lane, network, and operational profitability. He also led the development of MapLedger, the industry’s only GL mapping and benchmarking platform, designed to help carriers turn financial data into meaningful, comparable, and actionable insights.

Recognizing the need for greater collaboration around analytics and profitability, Chris helped create the Trucking Analytics Council in 2022, now known as the FreightMath Alliance. The group brings together innovative carriers committed to advancing data-driven decision-making and strengthening performance across the industry.

Chris has also played a key role in expanding KSMTA’s portfolio of solutions for carriers through its partnership with BidRight, an RFP automation, collaboration, and pricing software platform developed by Nussbaum Technology. Together, FreightMath, MapLedger, and BidRight give carriers the tools to stop guessing, price with precision, and win the right freight at the right price.

Prior to joining KSMTA in 2022, Chris co-founded StakUp, the truckload industry’s first online benchmarking platform, and served for seven years as program manager for the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) Profitability Program. Through his work with hundreds of carriers, Chris has helped trucking companies evaluate performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen their competitive position.
