Avery Boxell is a director in KSM’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate Services Group. Avery provides planning and consulting services to the firm’s real estate clients to help minimize their tax liabilities and ensure compliance. He is experienced in Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZs) consulting, partnership tax, tax research, and financial statement compilation and modeling.
Prior to joining the firm, Avery interned with various organizations across the financial services industry, including one of the largest RIA firms in the country, a Big Four accounting firm, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
Avery graduated summa cum laude from Taylor University, double majoring in accounting and finance with minors in mathematics and economics.
Avery is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, USA 500’s Midtown East 2 Group, and the Manhattan Business Impact Group (BIG). He is also active in Urban Land Institute (ULI) New York.
Avery was named to the New York Real Estate Journal’s 2026 Ones to Watch – Rising Stars list, an annual spotlight recognizing emerging professionals who are helping shape the future of New York’s commercial real estate industry. He also earned the Indiana CPA Society’s 2017 High Grade Winner distinction for achieving one of the 10 highest cumulative scores on the Indiana CPA exam.
