Andy Manchir is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Valuation and ESOP Services Groups. Andy helps clients understand the value of their business and advises them on succession planning options, including ESOP, third-party sales, or family transitions. He has extensive experience with feasibility studies for business owners considering an ESOP, ESOP structuring and financing, and valuations and opinions needed for ESOP formations, updates, and terminations. Additionally, Andy has performed business valuations for several other purposes, including valuations for estate and gift, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation support and has testified as an expert witness on business valuation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Andy served as vice president and project leader with Goelzer Investment Banking. His professional background also includes corporate accounting and corporate finance experience with IBM Corporation.
Andy graduated with distinction from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He holds the designations of Accredited Senior Appraiser, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Exit Planning Advisor.
Andy is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the National Center for Employee Ownership, the American Society of Appraisers, and The ESOP Association, where he is an emeritus member of the Valuation Advisory Committee. He is also co-founder and treasurer of the Indiana Center for Employee Ownership and serves as a trustee of the Employee Ownership Foundation. Additionally, Andy serves on the leadership team for the Exit Planning Institute’s Central Indiana chapter and is chair of the finance committee for St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church.
In 2010, Andy received The ESOP Association’s prestigious national “Chapter Office of the Year” award.
