Adam Smith is a director of FreightMath engineering for KSM Transport Advisors, LLC (KSMTA). Utilizing his strong background in business intelligence and data analytics, Adam helps KSTMA’s clients optimize their freight networks. Through the use of KSMTA’s proprietary analytical tools, he provides carriers with factual data to help them make business decisions that lead to increased knowledge and profitability and a streamlined customer base.
Prior to joining the firm, Adam spent the majority of his career at J. Rayl Transport, an Ohio-based trucking and logistics company. During his time there, he performed a wide variety of roles, including data analysis and operational improvement, and his work spanned many departments within the organization. Adam also previously spent time at FirstEnergy Corp., where he worked as a senior business analyst.
Adam received a Bachelor of Science degree from Muskingum University with a double major in economics and business. He earned the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Villanova University.
Adam was selected for the American Trucking Associations’ 2023-2024 LEAD ATA class, which is the industry’s premier development program for emerging leaders in trucking. He is a member of Freshwater Community Church, where he serves in many capacities.
