Katz, Sapper & Miller has more than 50 experienced auditors who annually attend continuing professional educational training on ERISA audits and DOL and IRS compliance and reporting requirements.

We are also a member of the AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center (EBPAQC), established to help CPAs meet the challenges of performing quality audits in this unique and complex area. The EBPAQC provides guidance on current technical issues, best practices, education resources to help perform quality audits, awareness of key audit areas and audit deficiencies as identified by the DOL and AICPA, and insight for planning and performing the firm’s annual inspection of our ERISA employee benefit plan audit practice.

Additionally, our membership in the Indiana Benefits Conference and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans allows us to keep current on issues both locally and around the world.

Katz, Sapper & Miller continually keeps our clients abreast of new audit standards and pronouncements, regulatory changes and legislative proposals that might affect their employee benefit plan audits. We also provide recommendations and insight on ways to improve and enhance the internal administration, operations, and design of their plans. We have a thorough understanding of the financial reporting, plan administration, and compliance requirements to which benefit plans are subject, and we can assist in addressing and resolving plan document or operational issues that may arise during the year.
