Phil McKenzie is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Fort Wayne office and a member of the firm’s Audit & Assurance Services Group. Phil assists clients in meeting the needs of an ever-evolving financial reporting landscape, helping to ensure they have the information they need and the operational controls in place to develop accurate financial reporting that leads to value-added decision making. He provides advisory and assurance services to a wide variety of not-for-profit clients in various sectors and advises for-profit and not-for-profit clients on various accounting, financial statement reporting, internal control, and governance issues. Phil has more than 25 years of public accounting experience, including seven years in private industry working for and with not-for-profit organizations of all sizes.
Phil received a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Phil holds the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Phil is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Indiana CPA Society, the Michigan Association of CPAs, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He serves on several not-for-profit boards and finance committees as treasurer, including the Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana and the Fort Wayne Time Corners Kiwanis Club. Phil is also a member of the finance advisory committee for Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters and Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters Community Support Trust in Huntington, Indiana.
