David Richardson is a freight network engineer with KSM Transport Advisors, LLC (KSMTA). David leverages his over 30 years’ experience in transportation operations and transportation technology to provide freight network analysis and data driven solutions for KSMTA clients.
Prior to joining KSMTA, David served as the director of systems for iShared Transportation (formerly Smith Transportation Services, LLC). David’s background at various organizations – including FedEx Services, FedEx Freight, and Watkins Motor Lines – coupled with his knowledge of operations, operations engineering, technology development, and deployment, helps him provide unique perspectives and solutions to network analysis. He draws upon his various experiences, ranging from industrial engineering network design, project management software development, and director-level analysis and planning, to develop actionable plans based on data-driven analysis for maximum measurable benefit.
David received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee.
David has been a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers for more than 30 years. He is also a member of the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) software development community and holds the following SAFe certifications: Practitioner, Agilist, and Product Owner/Product Manager.
David is a member of the Lakeland Runners Club and regularly volunteers for the club’s annual Spring Ahead 5k Training program.
