Mike North, a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller's Transaction Services Group, will moderate a panel discussion at the inaugural Kelley School Private Equity Conference on Sept. 8 at the Conrad Indianapolis. The conference, which KSM is sponsoring, is a collaboration between the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company, Inc. and is designed to bring together professionals in the private equity community to discuss important industry topics.

Joined by Bob Erwin of Babson Capital, Irwin Loud of Muller & Monroe, and Bo Ramsey of the Indiana Public Retirement System, North will discuss limited partner viewpoints on private equity.

Other panel discussions will center on the following topics:

  • The role of operating partners in private equity investments
  • Deal sourcing and origination strategies
  • Career tracks for pre-MBA professionals
  • A generalist vs. specialized fund approach
  • How business owners select financial partners
  • The evolution of the lending environment

Evan Bayh, former senator and state governor, will serve as the keynote speaker for the event.
