The 2016 Neurosurgery Executives’ Resource Value and Education Society (NERVES) Annual Meeting will review the results of the NERVES Socio-Economic Survey and will discuss a variety of topics including negotiating skills, payment models and succeeding in a value based world.

Mike Heaton, partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Healthcare Resources Group, will present a general session to review the most recent NERVES Socio-Economic Survey results. This survey analysis provides relevant benchmarking data to neurosurgery practices and includes total practice statistics as well as data on provider production, compensation, operating costs and support staff.

KSM’s David Blish, associate director of healthcare consulting, will present two separate sessions. The first session, Service Line Development, will review various service line models and will include the clinical, strategic and business rationale for utilizing services lines as a tool for physician-hospital integration. The second session, ACOs and Bundled Payment Models, will review the latest federal and commercial reimbursement trends and will provide practical takeaways for preparing and implementing population-based reimbursement models.
