The American Animal Hospital Association's (AAHA) annual conference, taking place in the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, is the only veterinary conference in the U.S. that focuses exclusively on companion animal care. AAHA’s annual conference provides the opportunity to learn best practices from industry experts, discover the latest in products and services, and network with industry professionals from around the country.

At the conference, Terry O'Neil of KSM's Veterinary Services Group will present a session on financial trends in veterinary medicine.

Topics will include:

  • The importance of developing, implementing and monitoring basic standards of care (SOC) protocols to improve consistency in medical outcomes and fees for services between staff members.
  • Pros and cons of utilizing basic SOC protocols from associate doctors and the practice management’s perspective.
  • Strategies for simplifying a few specific fees to improve usage and capture by all staff.
