Randy Hooper, director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Transportation Services Group, will speak at the Traffic Club of the Lehigh Valley’s "2017 Transportation & Finance Symposium" on Feb. 21.

The event is designed for shippers, carriers and members of the small business sector and third-party logistics industry. Speakers will review current financial trends, changes within the transportation industry and how such changes may impact businesses and individuals in 2017. Potential changes resulting from the new administration will also be discussed.

Topics will include:

  • Recent transportation law court decisions and their importance to the industry around claims, risk management, and changes in the regulatory landscape.
  • The impact of recent business tax law changes and what we may see from the new political administration in Washington.

Hooper, who has served the transportation industry for more than 13 years, will be sharing his insight as an experienced transportation and financial professional on how tax law has changed, additional tax law changes to expect and how to best prepare a business to remain in compliance.

Stephanie Penninger, attorney at Benesch Attorneys at Law and associate in the firm’s Litigation and Transportation & Logistics Practice Groups will also present on representing motor carriers, third party logistics providers, national shoppers and private fleets.
