Amanda Horvath, director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Not-for-Profit Services Group, will present at the upcoming Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) Nonprofit Conference. Taking place Oct. 3 in Lansing, MI, this conference will discuss how the shift of for-profit CFOs and personnel moving into the sector is presenting unique challenges to today’s not-for-profit organizations.

Horvath’s session, “Dispelling the Misinterpretation of Audit Deficiencies,” will reveal the recommended steps for building a system to address audit comments and deficiencies, including effective communication strategies for boards and governing committees.
