Thomas A. Nowak, CPA



Tom Nowak is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Fort Wayne office and is a member of the firm’s Business Advisory Group. Tom has been with the firm since 1988 and in public accounting since 1986.

Tom provides companies of varying sizes with strategic tax planning and compliance services. Additionally, he offers experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, cash management, financing, forecasts and projections, and business structuring.

Tom serves as a member of the firm’s Construction Services Group and Buy Here – Pay Here (BHPH) Services Group


Tom received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and management from Ball State University.


Tom is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. He serves on the economic development committee for the Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana and is a board member for the Northern Indiana chapter of The Risk Management Association. Additionally, Tom is a member of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership Regional Opportunities Council.

Tom recently served as president of the Central Indiana Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association, board member and education chair for the Indiana Subcontractors Association, treasurer of the Carmel Clay Chamber of Commerce, and treasurer of the Carmel Clay Veterans Memorial Corporation. He is currently active in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Ball State University Alumni Association. Tom is also a recent graduate of United Way’s Ardath Burkhart Leadership United Series.
