PROFILE

Steve Gaylord is the partner-in-charge of Katz, Sapper & Miller's Audit and Assurance Services Department. He has been with the firm since 1978. Steve manages a staff of assurance professionals who provide audit, review and other assurance services to a wide variety of clients in many industries. He advises clients and firm members on accounting, financial disclosure, auditing, compliance, risk management, professional ethics and internal control matters. He is the firm’s primary partner contact with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center.

EDUCATION

Steve graduated with distinction from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He was also initiated into Beta Gamma Sigma, an academic honorary. Steve completed a series of examinations that qualified him as a Fellow in the insurance industry’s Life Office Management Association.

ASSOCIATIONS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Steve is a member of the AICPA and the Indiana CPA Society, where he serves on the Ethics Committee. He serves on the Board of Visitors of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Indianapolis as well as the Accounting Advisory Group of the accounting faculty of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington.
