Scott Schuster is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller's Audit and Assurance Services Department as well as the partner-in-charge of KSM's Not-for-Profit and Governmental Services Group. Scott audits and reviews financial statements, and he advises clients in accounting, reporting, internal control and operation matters. He has served as auditor to a significant number of not-for-profits and local units of government, including the Indiana Finance Authority, Park Tudor, the White River State Park Commission, the Children’s Bureau, and Eiteljorg Museum. In addition, Scott directs special projects and/or consulting engagements for many governmental entities and not-for-profit organizations.
Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University. He is committed to maintaining his technical expertise in not-for-profit and governmental accounting, auditing, and financial reporting through continuing professional education and governmental readings. Scott annually attends the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) national not-for-profit and governmental conferences.
Scott is a member of the AICPA as well as the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS), and he is a past member of the INCPAS Not-for-Profit Committee. Scott is an officer of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and holds memberships in the Indiana University Alumni Association, the Indiana Society of Association Executives and the Murat Shrine.
