Lisa Weinstein is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s State and Local Tax Practice. In this role, Lisa advises clients in economic development services and is responsible for site selection, private and public economic development consulting, and state and local business incentive procurement for growing companies. She also serves as a member of the firm’s Emerging Business Group, Transportation Services Group, and Life Sciences and Technology Services Groups.
Prior to joining the firm, Lisa served as manager of a national economic development advisory firm, where she assisted clients with the negotiation and administration of economic incentive packages. She also worked as project manager for the Indiana Department of Commerce, where she represented the state of Indiana in business retention and expansion projects. Lisa’s vast experience with economic development projects enables her to effectively serve KSM’s clients across the nation.
Lisa graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Lisa is an alumna of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series Class XXXI. She serves on the board of directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis and is a former co-chair of the organization’s Young Leadership Division. Lisa also serves as a board member and executive committee member of Indy Hub, a not-for-profit organization focused on connecting and engaging young professionals in central Indiana. Additionally, Lisa is a co-chair of the 2012 Super Bowl Host Committee Control Center. She also serves on the Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments’ Local Organizing Committee and the Indiana Sports Corporation President’s Council.
Lisa is a member of the Economic Growth Council of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and the Young Leader’s Group of the Indiana Urban Land Institute. She was recently a recipient of the 2011 Indianapolis Mayor’s Community Service Award. Lisa was also a 2007 finalist in Junior Achievement’s Annual “Indy’s Best and Brightest” as well as a recipient of the 2007 L. L. Goodman Leadership Award from the Jewish Federation.
