KSM Releases Fourth Annual DEI Report
KSM has released its fourth annual diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) report. Produced by the firm’s DEI committee, INSPIRE, the report includes information on KSM’s efforts to become a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace in order to best serve its employees, its clients, and its communities. The report, completed in September 2022, encompasses the year between July 2021 and June 2022. It was recently updated to include the firm’s action plan to address the findings of an independent, months-long assessment of its DEI practices.
“This newly released DEI report is our most transparent and comprehensive yet,” said Katherine Malarsky, a partner in KSM’s Tax Services Group and INSPIRE’s lead. “More and more, prospective employees and clients are asking about DEI in the workplace, and KSM believes that it’s important to track, measure, and share our efforts to create a culture of inclusivity. While we still have much work to do, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and look forward to where we’re heading.”
KSM’s DEI report includes:
- High-level results of the assessment of its DEI practices and the action plan to address the assessment’s findings
- Employee demographics, including representation of women and racial/ethnic groups
- Information on the firm’s expanding recruiting efforts
- How the firm has worked to advance inclusivity among its workforce by better integrating remote employees and focusing on mental wellbeing
