At KSM, we offer the flexibility to explore options within the accounting industry. As a new graduate or experienced hire, you might elect to start or continue your career in one of the following areas.

Audit and Assurance Services Group
The Audit and Assurance Services Department helps you maximize your exposure to the real world of business. You will participate in a variety of field engagements at our clients’ facilities, but your travel will be minimal. You’ll gain a better understanding of client operations by working on-site at the client's place of business. You’ll really get to know client management, their financial information system, and the key success factors of their business. The other members of your audit team will be there with you to help you with your questions and to give you constructive feedback on your performance. They’ll want you to be successful.

Tax Consultant
If you’re already sure that your primary career focus will be taxation, you may wish to work in our Tax Department. In addition to preparing tax returns, you’ll work with some of the state’s best tax professionals. You’ll research complex tax issues and present alternatives and innovative solutions to our clients’ most challenging tax problems.

Business Consultant
If your goal is to become a business consultant and you have prior experience in the business world, you might consider joining our Business Advisory Group. As a consultant in this group, you’ll become the professional our clients consult first when they have business and tax problems or need an opinion on their plans for growth. You’ll also have the opportunity to specialize in a particular industry group, which will enhance your reputation as a consultant “in the know.”
