The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) recently reported that Indiana has the highest percentage (16.4%) of manufacturing-related jobs out of every state in the nation. Indiana also experienced the 3rd highest growth in manufacturing jobs from December 2009 through March 2013, with more than 53 million jobs created during the time period. At the state level, 42% of the jobs in Kosciusko County alone are in manufacturing, which is one of the highest rates in the country. The national county average hovers around 9%.
