Heaton to Present at NERVES 2019 Annual Meeting

Posted 12:45 PM by

Mike Heaton, partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Healthcare Resources Group, will present at the Neurosurgery Executives’ Resource Value & Education Society’s (NERVES) 2019 Annual Meeting. Taking place April 11-13 in San Diego, CA, the event brings together neurosurgery professionals from across the country and equips them with education and tools to help navigate the evolving landscape of neurosurgery practice management.

Heaton will present the results of the most recent NERVES Socio-Economic Survey – the largest resource of economic information for neurosurgeons. Recognized as an essential planning tool for industry professionals, this survey provides relevant benchmarking data to neurosurgery practices and includes total practice statistics as well as data on provider production, compensation, operating costs, and support staff.

A variety of topics will be discussed during the three-day event, including:

  • Physician burnout
  • Improving the bottom line through employee engagement
  • Distance medical care and telemedicine
  • Cybersecurity
  • Utilization of mid-level providers

NERVES is the first national neurosurgery practice manager and administrator society in the United States. Like other medical subspecialty societies, NERVES was established with the purpose of helping neurosurgery practice managers and administrators network, combine resources to gather information, and learn from their colleagues about how to build stronger practices.
