David Charles, partner-in-charge of Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Healthcare Resources Group, will serve as moderator for Healthcare Leaders of New York’s (HLNY) Oct. 16 event, “Financial Implications: The Push from Inpatient to Outpatient Care.”

Taking place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at West Point Club in N.Y., the HLNY panel discussion centers on the shift from inpatient to outpatient care, which aims to reduce healthcare costs associated with expensive inpatient admissions as well as provide safe, efficient care in the most cost-effective setting.

Although the degree of financial impact resulting from this shift will vary across organizations, all organizations will be affected.

Panelists for the Oct. 16 event include:

Ramanathan Raju, MD, MBA, FACS, FACHE, who is the president and CEO of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC), the largest municipal healthcare system in the nation.

Donna McGregor, FACHE, FHFMA, who is the CFO of Crystal Run Healthcare. She previously served as the president and CEO of Putnam Hospital Center (a Health Quest Affiliate).

David, along with his team, works closely with healthcare clients across the country. His expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, physician/hospital integration, financing, forecasts and projections, strategic planning, business structuring, and development/analysis of physician compensation models.
