Deadline to Complete the 2015 FBAR Approaching

Any U.S. person that has a financial interest in or signature authority over a foreign financial account—including a bank account, brokerage account, mutual fund, trust, or other type of foreign financial account—may be required to report those accounts and balances to the Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen).

State & Local Tax Update: 5/24/16

Starting in 2016, Indiana adopted a small business personal property tax exemption. This exemption exempts personal property for businesses that have less than $20,000 of taxable acquisition cost in a county. Prior to the 2016 legislative session, business owners had to complete an affidavit stating they had less than $20,000 in acquisition cost, sign and notarize the form.
