PROFILE

Bill Barks is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Employee Benefit Plan Services Group. Bill has considerable experience in the design, implementation and administration of qualified retirement plans, including pension plans, profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans and cafeteria plans, and nonqualified retirement plans. He has engaged in the practice of public accounting, benefits administration and healthcare consulting since 1984.

Bill also has extensive experience providing tax and business consulting services for a variety of business types, including medical practices, regular corporations, personal service corporations, S corporations, individuals and retirement trusts. Bill provides in-depth accounting, taxation, consulting, practice management, financial and retirement planning services to the firm’s clients.

EDUCATION

Bill received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University.

ASSOCIATIONS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Bill is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, the Medical Group Management Association, and the Indiana Medical Group Management Association. He also serves as treasurer of the Greenways Foundation.
