Benefits are the nuts and bolts of any competitive employment relationship. We get it. We also happen to think our benefits package stacks up with the most generous anywhere.

Cafeteria Plan (Section 125)

We believe flexibility is important. That’s why we offer employees a pre-tax benefits contribution option. A Section 125 Plan lets you make contributions toward medical and disability premiums and out-of-pocket medical and dependent care costs on a pre-tax basis. Contributions are deducted from your gross pay before income tax and Social Security are calculated.

Major Medical, Dental and Vision Plan

We offer several options for medical/vision coverage in the form of two High Deductible Health Plans combined with a Health Savings Account. The firm contributes generously to the Health Savings Account and pays 100 percent of preventative care.

Life and Disability Insurance

We provide group life and long-term disability insurance, and short-term disability insurance is available at a minimal cost. In addition to the group life coverage, we offer a non CPA-voluntary group life insurance plan.

Retirement Plans

Let’s talk savings! Employees are eligible to participate in the firm’s 401K and Roth 401K Savings Plans on the first of the month following their date of hire.

Paid Time Off

Paid Time Off (PTO) is comprised of a generous number of days employees are allotted each year to cover vacations, sick days and personal time off. 

Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)

Let’s talk ownership! We’re pleased to offer employees the opportunity to participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). After completing one year of service, KSM employees are eligible to enter the ESOP on one of two dates – January 1 or July 1. Eligible participants may receive a five percent contribution based on gross wages.

Wellbeing

We believe a healthy employee is a happy employee. We offer a wellness allowance, an employee assistance program, on-site health screenings and coaching, flu shots (paid at 100 percent) and three kitchen areas stocked with complimentary beverages and snacks. See more on our wellbeing program.

CPA Bonus Program

KSM provides financial support towards exam preparation and completion, as well as competitive bonuses for passing the exam within two years of joining the firm.

Education and Professional Development

As advocates for lifelong learning, we offer on-site classes in both technical training and life skills. To the extent development needs cannot be met through in-house training, we will work with our employees to identify external solutions for this purpose.

Other Professional Certifications

Not everyone is a CPA at KSM. We recognize it may be just as important to obtain a designation or certification related to another function. We will work together to make that call and make it happen.

Know someone who would make a great addition to the team? Let us know! If you send us a qualified referral, and that referral ends up being hired by the firm, we’ll give you a generous bonus.

Travel Reimbursement

Staff members are reimbursed for all travel-related expenses. The firm may also pay additional compensation for individuals who travel “out of town” for more than 20 days in a calendar year.

Birth or Adoption Days

We provide five additional days off (with pay) for the birth or adoption of a child.

Matching Gifts

Charitable giving is encouraged, and the firm will gladly match up to a specific amount per employee for gifts to the charitable organizations of their choice.
